Smartphone Emulation Or PC Emulation

I'm borderline illiterate when it comes to phones so PC it is. Also, I like buttons and big screen.

These days usually my phone. I like the portability.
Using touch controls for games that weren't designed for them is akin to torture, so I'll pick PC.
Why do people always say this as though just about any Bluetooth controller doesn't work with a phone? It just seems like such a ridiculous argument. Hell there's controllers made specifically for phones that turn them into a little portable game console looking things.

Whenever I use Bluetooth controllers with a phone, there's always an unpleasant input lag that pisses me off to no end.

The android emulators UI are usually a lot more feature rich and buttoned up than the windows UIs, however it seems as though it takes longer for newer emulators to reach android. For instance if the new vita emulator isn't on android yet it may still be a while. Its very nice having a device with strong processing power, ram, oled screen, very portable and strong battery life. If a phone can use a bluetooth controller or peripheral like a razr kishi. Pc is nice for storage purposes a lot easier to add more storage and quicker emulator releases for more modern consoles.

PC hands down. Big screen and already set up nice and cozy. Phone is good for playing while traveling however.

I'm using a Retroid Pocket Mini, does t count as a smartphone or pc?
cuz it's the best lol

That depends. It's more easier to obtain a powerful smartphone via your phone provider's plan, plus they'll give you good discounts depending on trade in, or what part of the year it is(Thanksgiving/Christmas sales)

Doesn't it run off Android? Phone/mobile in that case.

Which one do you think is the best way to play emulation games
I prefer PC, no question. I don't like using mobile generally, and vastly prefer the array of emulators that are available on pc.

I mostly stick to emulating handheld games (psp, GBA, nds any) on android for that intended handheld experience.

And not because I have a craptop that can't run mgs4 for some reason. No way.

Speaking of android, should I emulate games on my Game tv stick (it has lots of preinstalled roms in a sd card and I was able to download emulators such as snes9x) or should I still emulate them on my PC?

I sometimes play GBA games on my phone, but it is incredibly annoying to play anything that isn't turn-based on it. Heck, even if it is turn-based the touch controls are finicky on it. Honestly, I just sometimes play on it for it's portability/convenience

Obviously PC (as long as the specs are good enough) pretty much if you even wanted to emulate stuff on the go than steam deck or even better handheld PC Consoles will be your best bet if you can afford one. Hell the best a budget smartphone can do from my experience with the samsung S4 back when I was at my all-time peak in 2015-2017 was The PS1 and GBA. so there's that for ya

What controllers are you using where this happens? I've used an old Logitech controller, ps3, ps4, Xbox, 8bitdo, and cheap Chinese generic android controllers and there is exactly zero difference between using them on my phone and using them on a computer. They use the exact same connection protocol on a PC as they do on android so it makes no sense for it to lag on android and not PC.
