Sipeed says that it ships with Direct Memory Access over PCI-express (between the FPGA and the Pi5 DDR)

yeah, i'm pretty excited for this platform going forward. I hate what happened to mister (those used to be $120 on amazon until about 2 years ago... stupid lousy intel :P ).

This 60k hat + a raspberry pi won't quite compete with MiSTER on the FPGA side, (which has 120k logic elements), but it should be able to support anything up to gameboy advance or so via FPGA (gba is already working on 60k).

i just hope the price (for the hat alone) is in the $50 ballpark. that would make it a pretty good value.

Sipeed also says they are making a 60k handheld specifically for gaming (sometime next year?)
