idk what exactly you search for, but, go to repo, pick a console category you like, in the filters section, you gonna see choices like, most downloads, most voted, etc

click one of them, and you gonna see, for example, which games have been downloaded the most, or which games have been voted as the ''best'' by users, etc

Welcome! What sort of genres/series do you like right now?
Since I'm a vehicle nerd, I'll recommend a bunch of things along those lines. The Ace Combat series (and Project Wingman), the Tokyo Xtreme Racer series (both TXRD2 and the newest one on Steam), the PS2 Need for Speed games, Burnout 3 and Revenge... there's plenty of goodness around.

Given that video games is an entire medium, it's sorta like asking for books, there's some good ones, but the ones I like may not be to your taste. Though books has become oddly segmented now, too many basic fiction pseudo romance books, not enough sci-fi or fantasy anymore that isn't published by something pulpy, even if the writing is S tier.

I'm currently on a 40k binge and tactics in general. So maybe the front mission remakes, space hulk tactics or even 40k inqusitor as a unique take on the whole diablo dungeon crawler. You're also on the retro games forum, there's massive breadth if games that fit under retro now.

I'm trying to think of things that aren't specifically mainstream and usually many mainstream games are good because of word of mouth and such, Zelda and Marios as examples. The simple critic bait games aren't good though, the walking and watching games as most critics are bad at games and couldn't get a journalism job elsewhere.

I've got 40k brain at the moment. It's pretty bad. However I will say boltgun is the BEST boomer shooter style game made in the modern era.
