He broke into my house and said “okay!” a bunch and then he handed me bongo and Donkey Konga send help.

Being real, though I just posted about a game pickup today, I also went out yesterday and found both the bongos and Donkey Konga for $30. Pretty good price! I think I’ll have a bunch of fun with them! But, what else can I do with them?

(I’m already on the case of Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat. Don’t worry. I already know I want that game. I own it on Wii already, but it’s just not the same I’m sure.)

Beat Devil May Cry 3 on Dante Must Die with it!
FTFY
Attempting to use the bongos as an extra gamecube controller on any other game renders them completely useless lol. I think the bongos emulate the A/X & B/Y button, so at best you can only use them for Wario Ware Inc. Mega Party Games! (personal childhood experience)

Now now. stop joking'em
We all know the real thing they have to beat is
With the bongos

You fool. I’m still going to try to see how far I can get through every level in Sonic Adventure 2.

Huge lol, because I can totally picture this. "So, all I have to do is jump attack all the time, & clapping controls the camera. Tooootally possible."

I was going to say that you can spindash in the speed stages and also homing attacking allows you to move left and right in some respect.
Adventure 2 has far more linear stage design for the speed levels to compliment its rank based design philosophy. This works massively in our favor, as only being able to use moves and not move traditionally is a big deal for us.

Perhaps there are other games that somewhat work? Possibly Star Fox Assault’s space levels! It won’t be pretty, but we can shoot, bomb, and barrel roll, so maybe we have a chance to survive.

On the subject of Sonic, I will say, I plan to make a thread similar to this one which is me trying to play my Dreamcast collection with the fishing rod controller.
Actually an awesome controller, that one. Great for tennis, fishing, and Soul Calibur!

Bongos & fishing rods huh? Saying those 2 words together sounds like one is going on a vacation.
Nah this is where it gets interesting, because now you can brainstorm & figure out which games can be beaten using only the face buttons & make a bongo video about it!
Answer: Probably only the games that actually support the bongos can be beaten

I think you should be happy he didn't give you Donkey Kong Barrel Blast.
Could have! Barrel Blast was clearly being made for the bongos before moving over to the Wii. Nintendo did that with many late life GameCube games that were in development.

Or just killed fhem, like that infamous Kirby demo that I still kinda wish we got.

Well yes, but both Donkey Konga and DK Jungle Beat look like a lot more interesting games.

Oh, believe me… they are.

If you’ve never played Jungle Beat, check it out on the Wii. Or, if willing, the original GameCube version.
The game is possibly the best 2D platformer on the console, and in my opinion, the best Nintendo made 2D platformer on their home systems all the way up until the very end of the Wii era.

Bongo Cerberus Jump Cancel
HOLY CRAP!

DEVIL MAY CRY 2! Infamous for being super gun heavy.

Imagine modding in bingo support where you shoot by bongoing and sword swing by hitting both bongos at once. And enter devil trigger by clapping.
