This is the site I have questions about.

For my Dreamcast, my repros are some of the biggest black marks on my entire collection. They make my console scream in agony while reading them, they’re nasty burned CD-R’s, and I wish I had never bought them. The Sega Saturn on the other hand is a unique case. It’s even more expensive than Dreamcast, it has a better disc drive than Dreamcast, and it doesn’t rely on the Mil-CD exploit like Dreamcast.

What I’m asking for is a confirmation of quality. I’m a physical collector at the end of the day, so I’m more inclined towards repros than flash storage or ODE’s. Is this site worth my money? Are Saturn repros at all worth my money? If there’s anything I should know before buying a Saturn repro, aside from needing Pseudo Saturn to run them, what should I know?

Thank you all for your time!

For reference, I’d be looking to get repros of Magic Knight Rayearth, Deep Fear, and possibly Dragon Force.

Never used it, but I'm guessing the WD stuff isn't going to have anywhere near the quality of the originals as far as the manuals. I don't remember if MKR included stickers, but I feel like Dragon Force did, so I wouldn't expect that either?

Hey there, I'm actually the owner of that site.
I haven't heard any issues with the quality of my discs so far, obviously we are talking about 20-30 year hardware here so naturally lenses are going to fail, I've actually switched from my original saturn to a device called Polymega which play all my Saturn and PS1 games beautifully.

When it comes to the Dreamcast though, being loud is just how it goes (at least for me) if you still have concerns, I got a contact form on my site as well as facebook messenger

Oh lmao! Hi dude! Yeah, I was thinking about getting Magic Knight Rayearth from your site because the original release is thousands of dollars. I’ll keep an eye out on the site for when cases for Saturn come back in stock and probably order around then. Just wanted to be careful, y’know?

Also, the DC repros, which I got from a different source, use CD-R’s rather than Mil-CDs. This is a problem, as Dreamcast has to work harder to read CD-R’s with an already faulty laser, which can cause damage to the console long term. More to the point, it sounds awful, load times are long, and many assets are compressed to fit the disc format, leading to lesser quality FMV’s, music, and voice samples.

My new shipment of Saturn cases arrived a few days ago ;)

My wallet is going to have a heart attack…

Well, let me budget things out. I have the surprise cost come up of replacing a PS1 optical drive, which restricts me a bit.
