Aeon Genesis has done a lot of great TLs in the past. Glad to hear that they're back (...even though I had no idea that they suddenly vanished to begin lol).

They (he, because it's really just Ghideon Zhi and whoever he collaborates with on a specific project) didn't suddenly vanish, they just faded out over the years and stopped giving updates. There are several AGTP projects that were very advanced and highly anticipated many years ago, like Ladystalker (which is not about stalking ladies, it's a spiritual sequel to Landstalker starring a girl named Lady) or the original Metal Max 2, but his last release before this was in late 2019, and even then he had slowed down a lot by then. He's probably the most prolific romhacker involed in fan translations over the years though, and pretty much all his work has been solid.

I Can also hope his recent project can actually give him more knowledge to the PS1's idiosyncracies and complexities, so that Alpha 1 might likely get finished in the future

So I converted the game I downloaded from here, to CHD. And then unpacked the CHD which gave me a single bin file instead of multiple separate tracks. I then patched that bin file and recompressed to CHD and it's been working, in English, loll

I saw this but I couldn't figure what iso they used as source.

the readme says MD5 = EFDE909F9C8AA9F31529829396D36A54
But that doesn't match the first track of redump, neither the sole bin after merging them with bin2merge.

Did anyone figure it out?

Interesting game, there were many of these wild 3D games I can remember playing or seeing back in the day, especially for the 3DO and Sega Megadrive CD

Thank you! Wanted to play the translation but couldnt figure out how patching multi-track BIN files worked.

I used a handy little application called CD Mage, which allows me to convert multi-track games into a single bin and cue. I do mostly when converting them into .chd for compression to load on my handheld system.
