SAROO Backgrounds thread

High there.

Starting this Thread here since I did not find a place where folks can shoehorn their SAROO backgrounds into.

So, recently I also got a SAROO and soon I fiddled around a bit with some animated GIFs found using google searches and Resized [320x240] and/or Optimized them on EZgif.com site and tried to keep them below 380kb.
The audio used was simply converted from FLAC => WAV => FFmpeg => PCM using this commandline:
ffmpeg.exe -i EXAMPLE.wav -ar 44100 -ac 2 -f s16le -acodec pcm_s16le bgsound_r.pcm

So, here are 8 backgrounds for everyone to use/abuse/share/enJOI. [7 Blade Runner and 1 Snatcher theme]
These are prolly not the best or highest quality backgrounds for the SAROO, but I do like having such style backgrounds with nice audio [matching or not].
Tips, awesome animated GIF sources and ofcourse, more SAROO backgrounds are Welcome!
I think it would be very nice and handy IF the SAROO will get a MainMenu Background manager in the future. Which can let us View and Select Backgrounds. For example: placed in SAROO/Backgrounds/Snatcher folder! \0/

This is awesome, I have a Saroo and love it but I was not aware you could do custom themes and/or music?! Thanks for sharing I might see if I can whip something up. Im a massive MegaMan fan and my favorite game to play on Saturn is MM8 so maybe a theme for that.

Yeah, I also think it's awesome having custom SAROO mainmenu backgrounds.
This has been added since Firmware update v0.5 iirc.
I think I'll just collect many SAROO backgrounds and share a new link at some point.

And just in case, here are some handy guidelines:

1. Adjust the GIF [animated or not] resolution to 320x240, and you can display 12 menu items.
[EZgif.com can be handy]
2. Background image
Put mainmenu_bg.gif in /SAROO/. Animation is also OK. File size is less than 300KB.

3. Background music
Put the PCM audio file in /SAROO/.
Single play: /SAROO/bgsound.pcm
Loop play: /SAROO/bgsound_r.pcm
How to generate PCM:
ffmpeg.exe -i EXAMPLE.wav -ar 44100 -ac 2 -f s16le -acodec pcm_s16le bgsound_r.pcm

Sega Saturn SAROO Backgrounds Update:

I fiddled around again recently and came up with some more backgrounds for all to use/share.
Hoping folks will like/use atleast a few. hehehe
This pack includes the previous backgrounds and all have bgsound_r.PCM audio included.

@SceneCAT sorry, I had to remove the Anamanaguchi for featuring nudity which goes against the rules, unfortunately that meant I had to remove the link for the 7z file too.

I'm going to check with the moderation if there's ways this type of content can be shared in some form (for example, if it's possible to share a link to a website that comes with a content warning, if the content itself isn't too extreme). In the meantime you're free to reupload the 7z pack without the nudity image. I'm sorry for this.

That being said, those are some great backgrounds.

And yeah, I think a silly workaround [here on RGT or elsewhere] could be possible with stuff like a Warning, 18+ thread, NSFW thread, You are about to view a Naked Pixel [TM] or two, Are You Sure?! Are you Really Really Sure!?!?! etc.
