This game was a good one for what it was. The manga that this game is based off of is pretty damn great, highly recommend it.

Ah...I remember beating this game on Sarutobi Sasuke campaign several times and that ninja lady with the spider tattoo (Mahiru) despite not knowing Japanese. I was still around 7 or 8 when father bought a CD game with small collection of PS1 games (Around 5 games packed in 1 CD, this was one of them and Shaolin) complete with the emulator: ePSXe. I beat Sasuke's run several times just by spamming the electric blade down attack that electrocute the ground after he pulled out his blade engulfed with electric and stab it to the ground after a jump before I tried to end my opponent with one of his Special: Raiko Ken (No really, he shouted this out loud before he hit his opponent with heavy slash of his electric enhanced blade if you managed to hit the combination button to execute this special). That electric blade of his made me beat the game easy with almost all Perfect play because the hitbox of his electric blade attack was larger than him so not even Kyo can touch him even though he was the hardest boss I ever fought first time as a kid

Man, I remember I got this game pirated when I was a kid. When I bought it, it was sold as a Samurai X (Rurouni Kenshin) game. I just thought I had to unlock the characters from the anime.

Honestly, I only played this game, but the Game Boy Advance version, but it was a completely different game from the PS1 version, which was a fighting game, but it looks good, especially for a game based on the anime of the same name, which itself looks good too.
I watched samurai deeper kyo back in the day! The character designs and roster really suits a fighting game however the gameplay pales compared to its contemporaries of that time. But who cares, you get to play as Demon Eyes Kyo and Kyoshiro!
The GBA title looks alright too, and it's in English.

This game actually have a brazilian portuguese translation 👀
