Tactics Ogre: Reborn
Vagrant Story

At the moment I'm working on MSX version of Xak, but there are other versions on Turbo Graphx CD. I just like the old stuff most.View attachment 115635
MSX? Xak? First time hearing about it

any RPG With Mario in it i didn't even know those existed LOL I tried the FF with Lighting but too many cutscenes i had to drop it. FF Tactics is a game i keep hearing about, gonna look into that. for sure. Can't remember Which FF it was but i saw my cousin play back when i was a kid. I remember it being a 2 Disc cased. I remember i could race a kid around a fountain. I'd like to play that one again for sure. Maybe its 5 or 6? It was on the PS2 IIRC

Oh yeah, there are quite a few. The OG Mario RPG on SNES. The Paper Mario series. The Mario & Luigi RPG series. They're mostly all really solid.

Just beat the OG Mario RPG a couple days ago and started playing Threads of Fate, but it's a bit too much platforming for my taste. Maybe I should switch to Paper Mario.

I haven't played the first Paper Mario, but Thousand Year Door on Gamecube/Switch was pretty good

Phantasy Star I, II, IV
Not III, III kinda sucks

Also play the best Final Fantasy game (Final Fantasy V)

Give Etrian Odyssey a shot too maybe, mainly II and III. I is ROUGH.

Try a Wizardry game too, as well as Ultima Underworld.

Maybe even Dungeon Master or Baroque, those are options too

One of my Favorite RPG's I'd recommend is Bug Fables. It plays like the first two Paper Mario games. Appealing Graphics, Good Story with likeable characters, and an affordable price to boot. It can also run on about any computer.

Some decent more obscure RPG’s I’ve found on the Repo are:

Arabian Nights: Sabaku no Seirei Ou for the Snes

Beggar Prince for the Genesis

Phantasy Star 1 for the Master System

Defenders of Oasis for the game gear

I have been playing through "Trails of the sky" and liking it a lot. There is also a remake out/coming out so that could be a nice combo.

Xak for MSX can be pretty difficult sometimes but being ADHD myself (along with aspergers), it doesn't get suffocated with complications. I find it relaxing and simple. I don't know what the TurboGrafx CD version of Xak is like, but I'll most likely play it sometime. Ys is also somewhat similar to Xak and just as good, although I favor Xak. If you never played the two series, I recommend them.

SMT Strange Journey
Nayuta no kiseki
Atelier Iris trilogy
Steambot Chronicles
Manakhemia
Folklore
FF type 0
Arc Rise Fantasia
Earthseekers
Brandish 2
Breath of Fire
Saga series(Saga frontier, Romancing Saga)
Vagrant Story

OMG yesss Yakuza is ACTUALLY AN RPG and i did finish Yakuza 0 though i ended up spending hours and HOURS doing Cabaret Club stuff it took a while to move to the next game. Phantasy Star, speaking of I played PSO2 for a bit years ago, how is it these days? Dark Souls i never played because honestly i was afraid of struggling. LOL
No clue on PSO2, MMOs are the one area I never touch. Can’t be bothered. I was moreso recommending the mega drive games (the master system OG is excellent too)

Yakuza is a fantastic rpg series too. Dark souls 1 is super easy to get into actually, easiest souls game to pick. The difficulty is more mental than anything. If you have good resilience and take plenty of breaks and don’t give up you should be good imo. Just have patience.

If you want a wacky/zany RPG series about the console wars, there's the Hyperdimension Neptunia franchise. The Re;Birth trilogy goes on sale on Steam and GOG quite often. The Re;Birth games are Vita remakes of the original PS3 games (more like re-imaginings, as their stories have been severely altered with the exception of Re;Birth 3). The Vita versions are available in The Repo, but I don't know how well they emulate on Vita3K (if you don't have access to an actual Vita). Otherwise, they regularly go on sale for $5-$7 each on PC.

Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 (Vita)
Hypersimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 (Steam)
Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 (GOG)

Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth2: Sisters Generation (Vita)
Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth2: Sisters Generation (Steam)
Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth2: Sisters Generation (GOG)

Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth3: V Generation (Vita)
Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth3: V Generation (Steam)
Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth3: V Generation (GOG)

If you're willing to spend a little bit of money, The 4th mainline game in the series, Megadimension Neptunia VII (pronounced "vee two") is considered the peak of the series. You can find it on sale on Steam for about $7-$8 pretty regularly. It's also on Switch and PS4, also usually at that sale price (Switch performance is rough, to say the least). Now, don't get VII confused with VIIR. VIIR is a VR remake of VII, and is generally a worse version of VII. VR is not required to play the game nor its VR segments.

Megadimension Neptunia VII (Steam)
Megadimension Neptunia VII (Switch)
Megadimension Neptunia VII (PS4)
