I think it's kinda a good thing for Konami because now people wanted to see the ones with Solid Snake instead of Big Boss, so you can probably see why most people are also exciting for this (but also expecting the other ones to get the same treatment) As much as I didn't like the amount of remakes for the past year, I think this is one of those games that actually needed it.
