On this celebratory day filled with holiday spirits, I introduce you to our very own RGT-tan, the mascot of RetroGameTalk (brought to you by the endlessly talented @Sayo -chan) and bring you yet another collaborative article, this time between me and the legend herself, but first, a few words from her!

Wonderfully said. Considering this is her first article, she’s a little shy, so I’ll be doing most of the talking even though I’m not a cute anime girl (yet).
We’re not doing anything crazy today. This is purely a bite-sized piece meant solely to wish everyone a merry Christmas while also talking about a far more serious topic… video games!
We know you’re busy, so we’re condensing this piece to just two games so without further ado, relax over a cup of tea or latte and let’s get down to business!
Who said an ex crime boss can’t enjoy a quiet holiday?
Kiryu may be the former chairman of the Tojo-Clan, he may be trying to keep a low profile to protect his orphanage and he may be a man in his late 40s contemplating life, his journey so far, all the brothers he lost, all the enemies he fought and he may have to carefully calculate his next step to ensure a happy life for his friends, his family and himself…
But that doesn’t mean he can’t enjoy a cheerful holiday!
Saejima may be a man falsely convicted for 25 years, he may be serving jail-time for the second time, he may have lost many of which he considers family and he may be a fugitive on the loose for the second time…
But c’mon, just because you’re a wanted fugitive, doesn’t mean you can’t run around in a silly Santa costume, making deliveries, playing snowball fights and casually chatting with detectives, right? Of course not! Be like Saejima, dodging people sliding on ice swinging their arms in the air like they just don’t care!
Indeed this best-selling entry in the goofy yet gripping crime drama series does not fail to deliver, promising one of the most ambitious, celebrity and minigame-filled tourism sims in the entire series. To this day, there’s still no Yakuza game quite like 5. The closest we’ve come is Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, another fan-favorite well deserving of its accolades!
That said, we can’t forget to ask our very own RGT-Tan to give a second opinion, anything to say, RetroGame-Chan?

Evading holiday embarrassment? Not this time, Jimmy!
Poor Jimmy can’t catch a break, especially in a school already constantly trying to get him! Indeed in this hijinks-filled delinquent drama known as Bully, Jimmy Hopkins, aged 15, is on his way to conquer Bullsworth to get back at all the cliques and teachers abusing their power.
But just because you’re basically a miniature Tommy Vercetti shouldn’t stop you from enjoying a little Christmas spirit, brought to you by your local dysfunctional mother.
This is an excellent display of Rockstar Vancouver’s ever so brilliant seasonal system that shifts based on your story progression.
But once again, let’s not forget to ask what our Sega 3D-glasses wearing friend has to say.
