Konbanwa RGT community!! I had a funny idea for a gimmick/fun post, no idea if this has been done before.

There's this website called Topsters where you can make collages of stuff, usually albums, movies, games, books and such. So I had the brilliant idea... what if we made a collage (this 12x12 grid allows for 144 entries) of all the games that the RGT community would recommend, and in the end we can have this huge collage of games from various people with varying taste, as a way to visualize what the RGT members like.

Plus it opens up room for discussing and explaining why you recommend a particular game, you don't need to elaborate if you don't want to but I love reading this stuff and getting to know a bit more about your tastes.

I'll be a bit selfish and go first with: Odin Sphere for the PS2! That's my recommendation, so there's 143 slots left.

One game per person only!

Reverse Collapse: Codename Bakery.

As to why I recommend it, refer to my review:

At first Armored Core or Ace Combat (since my entire personality built around that) would be my first recommendation in line, but... it has to be Baroque ~Yuganda Mousou~ (Baroque ~Distorted Delusion) in this occassion.

Here's the thing about Baroque, I didn't like and will never like roguelite/roguelike games, but only Baroque that pass that major barrier. And that by itself is impressive. Why Baroque over something like the ever popular Hades, Vampire Survivor, or any other rogue?

It all comes down to the fact there's no "build", you really just pick up shit and get the best of whatever you have. There's no skill/talent that "Increase 15% damage toward X-type" or "If you do X, Y thing will happen" perk when you kill strong enemies kind of shit. Pick up random ass sword with random effect, maybe a jacket or fake wing, and idiot meat. Before venturing deep into Nerve Tower to fuse with God.

- Sometimes your run has so many Idiot and Genius Meat, and then accidentally step on Rot Pattern and fuck your entire run in an instant.
- Sometimes you find Pattern that teleport all enemies to your location and another Pattern that turn enemies into meat, and you gain so much and then died in the next floor since the starting room can spawn 0 to 8 enemies.
- Maybe you even throw Invincibility Bone on enemies and turn them into fucking Godmode for 20 seconds.
- Maybe your Angelic Rifle gets stolen by Gliro while getting ganged by Death and Joe. Angelic Rifle is very important too to get true ending.
- You could also fires your Angelic Rifle and make those Grotesque suffer the most painful thing one can imagine, it was so painful they got Shift+Delete from existence.
- And the best one, you get afflicted with Lust status effect that turn LITERALLY everything into hot sexy woman, and then accidentally step on Rot Pattern that messes your inventory, or Pattern that teleport every enemies into your current location. Happen to me once, and since then I'm afraid of hot sexy woman.

But out of all of that, the lore and harsh world design is what fascinated me the most. True to its title, a delusion so distorted to no end becomes the only thing that keeping the inhabitant alive in that world. Their hope turn into delusion, and their delusion turn into survival.

I can yap about this for 3 hours, but let it end here before I consumed by delusion in which people actually care about what I write.

Space Funeral

Cave Story. Not only is it a landmark title that helped make indie games mainstream and whose influence is still felt today, it's also a very tightly designed game in it's own right.

It has a perfect soundtrack, very rewarding exploration, a memorable cast of characters, and a narrative that manages to be captivating despite how light on plot the game actually is.

It's a game with a lot of heart. This might sound cheesy, but playing it, you can really see Pixel's desire to touch the player in the same way he was touched by the games that shaped him as a creator.

Also, it's free and it's been translated to a lot of different languages. So it's an easy recommendation.
