My first tablet. I am so going to trick this bitch out it isn't even funny.

Already got snes9x, Ppsspp and Duckstation on here. It's an android. Going with a Zelda theme for it.
I'm trying to figure out the best way to get Citra and Oot 3d on here along with Dolphin so I can play Wind waker. Any suggestions? I've read that citra no longer plays .3ds files. Is there a good alternative?

I was thinking of doing this when my phone stops working. I already looked into it some, but I might come asking for advice if I can't figure it out. 😅

Emulating on a screen this size must be better than a tiny phone screen, huh? Got a bluetooth controller yet?

Yep. Super easy to set up PS4,5 controllers too. Very excited

What kind of tablet brand is this?

Few years ago I did that to my table where my emulators but sadly my tablet is not working so my new phone is my new gaming emulator but hey is big and I can now play Dreamcast and GameCube emulator (and also 3ds).

It's an android 14 model
OK you want to have Citra and Dolphin emulator on it hmm if your device has a good Snapdragon processor then it will work but if not it could get a bit complicated. What could also help is the processor MediaTek G99 is also good for something like this.

It's an octa-core 2.0 hz with 20 GB of ram. I don't really know if it will be sufficient for 3ds but I'm hoping GameCube works okay

if it is not a samsung or pixel tablet, 3ds emulation is unlikely. For Dolphin, use the handheld edition, which offers downscaling

but the idea of older androids (or winmo/wince, even ios) for emulation is great, strongly supporting this

20 GB RAM is good, that should actually be enough
that 20gb ram is a scam thing that most non-brands use these days. It's some function that offers swap from the rom to maximise the ram, but's not getting even close to the performance of a dedicated ram

Yea playing Wind Waker in the non-handheld edition and it's absolutely chugging at 540 p 30 frame rate lol. I'll try your recommendation. It feels like Wii and 3ds games are going to be out of the question. Still pretty happy tho. A far cry from nothing for sure at $85.

well, PPSSPP will do fine at least. For Dolhin handheld edition, i got some Wii games to run on budget tablets as well.
For that 85 bucks, you can enjoy also all the GBA and SNES games, PSX as well. If i can recommend a controller, look at the 8bitdo Pro 2, which offers all kinds of profiles to offer the best compatibility, not just for Android tablets

Good. Hope to get some great PSP games to round things out. Any idea where I can get a current build for dolphin portable for android? I can't seem to find any working links...

May be able to run Wii games after all. Pretty happy

Getting pissed off. Trying to get some roms going in mame but mame4droid keeps indicating I don't have the complete files. Is there a good place to go for mame roms with complete files?

If Zelda the Wind Waker runs on it then you have a good tablet. Can you tell me what manufacturer this tablet comes from ? I have been looking for a new tablet for a long time, but somehow this whole thing has turned into a nightmare for me.

I use azahar; you just rename your .3ds files to .cci and it work

also try daijisho I use it on my odin2 mini its a great app, its free, can set as home app and you can download the consoles wallpapers individually on github/ask chat gpt to modify the picture (in your case for zelda themed) and then upload them manually into the app.

That's not true. I have a Motorola with a Mali chipset and I can emulate 3ds games just fine. Ps2, GameCube, PSP and Vita games also work mostly. Vita's kind of hit or miss. A lot of 2d switch games work. I even got some wiiU games running with cemu.

I'd say he was on the money regarding most of my situation though. Citra seems super CPU intensive. I can barely run 3ds games on my I9 iMac without issue. Still I haven't given up on the idea. Going to try to make it work on the tablet, somehow

yeah, there are exceptions, selected ones with decent chipsets. But the below 100 bucks tablets won't go far
