: I have absolutely no idea if this is the right place to post this, don’t kill me please 😅

I’m not usually into kiddie games, and I’ve never liked the “junior” versions of classic characters. The whole “look, it’s your favorite but younger” thing just feels weird to me. I do like Scooby-Doo though, so I figured I’d give this a shot anyway.

Surprisingly, I didn’t hate it. I actually kinda liked it.

The game is really basic, and you can tell it’s made for a younger audience. But there’s something nice about how it all just works. Each level throws you in, gives you stuff to collect, things to punch, and a enemies to deal with. It doesn’t waste your time with long cutscenes or confusing paths. It’s simple in a way that feels chill, not boring.

One thing I liked was how each character has a little special ability. Nothing huge, but it makes switching between them kinda fun. I mostly picked it up because it seemed perfect for my Steam Deck before-bed gaming. I wanted something easy to pick up and put down, and most importantly, something that didn’t need a collectible guide. I hate having to pause every few minutes and fumble with my phone to see what I missed. Here they’re placed in a way that makes you feel smart for noticing them without needing a guide.

The jokes are constant. Most of them made me roll my eyes, but a couple were kinda cute. It’s very Saturday morning cartoon, just not one of the better episodes. Still, it keeps moving and doesn’t drag.

I wouldn’t say it’s an amazing game, but I didn’t regret playing it. It felt like something that knew exactly what it wanted to be and just stuck to it. Not a hidden gem or anything, but if you like Scooby-Doo and don’t mind something really light, it’s a nice little break from heavier games.

Now that we have an expert here, perhaps you can tell me when this game takes place in the Parasite Eve timeline.

Sorry, I’m absolutely no expert, so I can’t really help you with that ^^"

If I had to guess, I’d say it’s somewhere around the same time Ashley screams “LEON!” for the 128th time in the RE timeline. Give or take.
