Got a Retro Gaming con experience?
I got to Midwest Gaming Classic on the regular because it's my birthday convention! One of my favorite experiences was finally getting to meet Adam Bohn from Artix Entertainment, the Adventure Quest creator. He was showing off his newest NES Adventure Quest Game that you could buy a physical edition in either grey cart or gold cart. As a fan I was so happy to finally get to tell the man himself thank you. Without Adventure Quest as a kid I don't think I would've picked up RPGs in general so it was nice to see something that I associated with coming home after school grow and be as successful as it is.
My second favorite experience was one year I had joined the after party on Saturday Night and Brian Colin had a table set up with a theme of his game General Chaos II and if you sunk 3 cups out of 5 in a beer pong style you got a figurine of Chaos himself. He's resided on my nightstand ever since.
