Cartoons Remember Yvon Of The Yukon?

I swear... This is as close as a fever dream as it gets:

I remember watching it, I remember liking it, but it always vanishes from my mind until I manage to recall it by thinking about other junk I watched alongside it.

I do remember laughing pretty hard at a joke in which the French were battling the Italians in a flashback and Yvon had the brilliant idea of calling Luigi (since it was a pretty common Italian name), hoping that many enemy soldiers would raise from their trenches and be easy targets...

"Hey, Luigi!".

"Is that you, Yvon?"

"Oui!"

*BLOOM*!

That's lived rent-free in my mind for decades XD

I do! They played it pretty often over here. YTV was the Canadian children's cartoon channel. Since this was a Canadian show they probably felt more included to run it more often. The same show runner Ian James Corlett would go on to do "Being Ian" which would eventually take it's place. It was not nearly as good, but I remember it more vividly. Probably because it's newer.

Ian James Corlett was also a voice actor, he's probably best know as the first English voice of adult Goku. Yes, the original Ocean dub of DBZ was Canadian! I actually really like his Goku, he's really good at matching Nozawa's screams.

I absolutely watched the hell out of Yvon of the Yukon. I hardly remember much of it anymore, but I definitely watched it. Like I've said before, Canadian shows were weird dude.

The last two seasons were actually lost media I believe until semi-recently since they never had a DVD or VHS home release, bizarrely.

I remember that one. My French teacher at school was Canadian, and he was very pleased that an Australian kid knew about Yvon of the Yukon.
