Which video game from memory lane you'd love to see someone, somewhere remake, with modern hardware?
Suggest which mechanics you'd love to see get implemented, if any.

Maybe do a remake of Hydro Thunder, Sled Storm, Road Rash: Jailbreak, Diddy Kong Racing and maybe RC Revenge.

Wave Race 64
There haven't been any new jetski racing games (that I'm aware of). I would love to see Nintendo throw their hat back into the ring with a new entry from this series (last one came out in 2001!!).

What I would want to see from a new entry:
  • Take the magic code that made the physics in the N64 feel so good and dial that up to 11 with today's modern CPU's. Something about the GameCube sequel just didn't feel right to me.
  • Include online racing as well as an online stunt mode
    • Maybe even a Battle Royal mode that includes 12 racers and 3 laps. The last 4 racers yet to cross the finish line of each lap are disqualified until there are only 4 racers left for the final lap!
  • Add tons of customizable things to do with your jetski, including trick poses, which could be used as "taunts" in racing modes.

NightMare On Elm Street for the NES.

Banjo Kazooie and Donkey Kong 64
Huge potential for these two and it's already one of the best 3D platformers at that time
Even though this remakes won't happen, it would be great to see similar concepts

Metroid Prime. Double the number of room connections, music tracks, enemy types, and bosses; and build the whole damn thing for VR. Game would win so many damn awards

For an actually serious answer, the original Spiderman 2. Game blows away the new PS ones in terms of web-play by a mile.

I need a remake of this really bad

Problem is figuring out who would be up for the task. I really wish Japan as a nation had banded together and stopped playing their pachinko BS, and force them to sell to Sony, who would just hand the whole company to Kojima. Don't think he likes doing remakes though

Honestly with how good the Silent Hill 2 remake was I would let bloober team give it a try.

That with Ultimate Spider Man and Web of Shadows, a really reaaaaaaally fun web slinging

None, absolutely no more remakes. I'm tired of them. I only need rereleases and even then if the game is not on PC I just emulate it. Give me a new IP or a sequel instead of rehashing and ruining all the good old stuff.

Not a fan of remakes either, most remakes feel completely unnecessary as companies prefer to remake games that are already great instead of games that actually need an upgrade. But if there is one game that desperately needs a remake is Deadly Premonition. It's one of my favorite games, but also easily the most broken mess I played on PS3.

That is actually a really good idea, remake games that for whatever reason haven't fulfilled their whole potential. I prefer that a lot more than remaking games that are already great.

*glares at Lords of the Fallen*
Not that it hasn't been tried, you just gotta be sure to hire a competent dev

Proper remake of The Thing, and not what DeepDive tries to do.. AI upscaled nightmare..

The Thing screams for real REMAKE.

I would love a remake of Mega Man Legends 1 and 2.

I'd love to see a remake of Legend of dragoon, Brave Fencer Musashi, Treasure of the Rudras, Skies of Arcadia, persona 2 Innocent sin and eternal punishment and Grandia, just off the top of my head.

Maybe a actual remake of lunar the silver star, not the psx and saturn version, the sega cd version, and depending on how the lunar collection coming out is, perhaps lunar eternal blue too.

I understand that a remake would add more but some times I'm worried about what they'd add instead of a remaster that keeps the spirit of the original.

And in the best case an actual new game that is a natural evolution of the formula while respecting the essence.

Not a remake per se, but maybe the second Hyrule Warriors game, the Breath of the Wild one, getting a re-release on the next Nintendo system so I can play a game based on reflexes and combos at something above slideshow speed.

If it runs at 60 fps on Switch 2 I'm buying it day one, I'm weak.

Nightmare Creatures
that would be cool!
alot of those old games had such bad tank controls but were still awesome
just some QOL changes would be nice!
recently brought the Tomb Raider trilogy remaster and was disappointed they never improved the terrible movement

i would really like this to happen for Jersey Devil and also Kingsley's Adventures on PS1
both great games but the controls were absolute ?
