Record of Lodoss War Advent of Cardice is an action RPG developed by Neverland. It was released in Japan on 29 June 2000 in Europe on 15 December and in North America on 14 March 2001. Based on the anime series Record of Lodoss War. It was the only Lodoss video game to be released outside Japan until the release of Record of Lodoss War Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth 20 years later.

The hero gathers mithrill and plaques for the blacksmith. When the hero supplies him with a plaque and the requisite amount of mithrill, the blacksmith enhances the hero's weapon or armor by inlaying it with mithrill runes.

At each experience level the player character's hit point capacity increases however, other character statistics are based on the blacksmith's cash-in advancement system.

Created from the aftermath of the last great battle of the gods, Lodoss and its kingdoms have been plagued by war for thousands of years. As a quiet peace and unity finally become foreseeable over the land, an unknown evil begins to stir.

Thank you SO MUCH for covering both the game and this beautiful, beautiful franchise. Love it all: the games, the 1990 OVA, the mangas...it's a work of art. I'll never forget about it. ?

I'm still hoping for a translation of the Sega CD/Turbografx-CD games. I heard there was a translation of the SNES one a few years prior, but I'm hopeful there'll be more to come. Fingers crossed. ^^

Anyone here have played the SNES game? They had translated it
Oh, now I see you've mentioned it first! Thanks for bringing it up ^^

I played the absolute crap out of the NTSC release back when it came out. Great game and holds up decently today.

I have to go through all of Record of Lodoss War, that means, the original OVA, the anime (i have the bluray of these) this dreamcast game (I'm like 2 hours in), Rune Soldier Louie, Legend of Crystania and the recent game. I love this series and world so much, it's close to perfection.

Love that game! One of my favorites on the Dreamcast and probably spent more time playing it than anything else.
