And while I appreciate that there are stricter safety standards now to avoid concussions and certain injuries, those same things have led to wrestling looking more fake. Like you can always see wrestlers putting their hands up now for kicks to the head and chair shots. The illusion is thinner now than it was in the 80s and 90s. Oh, and of course there's also the issue of social media pissing on the grave of kayfabe along with stupid, behind the scenes wrestling shows that no one asked for.
