RAIDOU Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army

bruh im just tryna play video games. dont care about whatever the gamer crusade of the year is. denuvo has never once given me a problem and if it ever does, ill refund the game and move on with my life lol its video games man, not some human rights crusade
---
the game itself is pretty fun. Raidou always was one of the more stylish atlus protags and i do love the setting. the more Atlus can get away from the Hashino game design style, the happier ill be. so hopefully they keep revisiting their older IPs (DDS pleeeease)
I was surprised that, of all, they decided to go with a remaster of this one. It's like they felt sorry for not giving it the love it deserved, because when I played the original one I was freaking out how good the game was. The second one wasn't even released in PAL territories :(
A certain girl who's fit made a repack with Switch emus. I'll test them and report back.
There are other options (for free) to play other than PC. But I am curious about the Switch version, and as I can "overclock" mine the game will perform correctly most of the time :)

just started it today on pc. runs great on my rig, gameplay is fun, and i dig the detective aspect of it all.
I'm sorry sir but could you refrain from enjoying your game that has an anti cheat mechanism?

when i saw they were charging 60 dabloons for the game i honestly thought it was a remaster of the whole duology. imagine my surprise when i found out. greedy fuckers, the game ain't even that good

when i played it i thought the story was the best. i really loved how every chapter would make you go "wtf" and how the last chapter connected to the SMT2 future. i heard they retconned the smt elements in the ending so idk if i want to play it but i might buy it just for the better combat cause the original combat was NOT good.
tbh the story connection with SMT2 at the end felt unnecessary, almost like a fanfic, so I can't say I would be surprised if they actually retconned it. but yeah if the combat is fixed the remake is def the better version, even though I kinda like more the old aesthetic

devil summoner was set as an alternative timeline within the SMT universe since the first game where the difference is that thorman never tried to nuke japan because japan didnt progress military occultism into a chaos aligned direction and stayed neutral aligned avoiding the apocalypse. i liked that they connected raidou's game to the SMT2 future referencing that its still the same universe.

about the aesthetics i think the only real downgrade was how they didnt put as many people in the streets as the original game does. they look emptier now and i liked how all the people filling the streets gave it a "we're in a big city" feeling.

I believe atlus bloated too much the timeline by making so many connections and specifically about raidou I didn't like how the story went from supernatural detective to super sentai tier nonsense with time traveling, mechas and whatnot. but I admit my feelings toward the story may have been influenced by the very annoying last dungeon

and by aesthetics I mean that yellow noir filter and the completely different subtler light, it complemented really well the game's atmosphere imo
