I am not sure if this is a solvable quirk on the forum system, but I thought it would be a good idea to point it out, as this could invalidate the whole purpose of even using the tags.

This forum uses two types of spoiler tags iirc. One which blurs the text, and the other is a clickable link like the one below.

Which type are you talking about? Can you link to an example? Thanks.

Is it this type?
Hello

Certainly! it is the blurry text kind of spoiler tag, you can see an example here:

Post #20 specifically. No harm done mind you, but yeah, maybe someone will end up spoiling themselves by no fault of the poster!

Are you talking about seeing the post in the quoted text yourself?

Because nothing can be done about that (it will happen with both types of spoilers).
Solution: if you don't want to read the spoiler then don't quote it.

If you are talking about the quoted spoiler being displayed publicly, then I haven't been able to reproduce that issue yet in my testing.

No, no, I meant seeing the spoiled text in my own quote. So I guess that's how it is, I won't quote spoilers, then, sorry to waste your time!

Nah I appreciate it. I'll still keep my eye out for a solution to this, but there is nothing obvious we can do at the moment. So unfortunately it will remain as it is for now.
Thanks for letting us know all the same. :)
