Hello, as topic title I would like to hear opinions from fans of Neptunia games.
I have already played these two for Vita so you can skip them in your suggestion: "Hyperdevotion Noire" (tactical rpg) and "Hyperdimension U" (hack and slash) and enjoyed them both in their different genres.
Now I would like to play one of these (ONLY ONE FOR NOW because I'm not sure I can manage a whole trilogy or sequels, I don't care much about plot holes because I can read them online so I would like the best gameplay-wise, but you can also rank them so I can choose better and maybe keep them in mind for later):

* or one off the trilogy on Psvita (the Rebirth titles)
* or Superdimension Sega Hard Girls
* or one on Switch between "Sisters VS Sisters" or "Game Maker Revolution" (I don't like platformer so much, so for now no to "Super Neptunia rpg")

Switch games are expensive and reviews for both Switch titles are not great, so before spending 60 bucks on physical (I don't want digital) I want to hear from Neptunia fans: if I'm correct Rebirth trilogy is turn based and the Switch titles are action based, I'm ok with both type of battle.

Please share you favourite(s) and why :) Thank you!

I'm gonna recommend the og trilogy. Just be prepared for a grind; they're not hard games, just grindy, but as a grind-enjoyer I think that just makes them comfy. There's a continuity but I think you'd be fine with either 1 or 2; 2 introduces the sisters but the main goddess take a backseat. 3 is a little more lore-heavy but since you've played some spin-offs you're probably fine. I don't really remember if there are a lot of gameplay changes between the three games but these games aren't exactly complicated so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I'd highly recommend the Trilogy first. Especially if you're going with physical.

I love the Neptunia series but the Trilogy is what makes the series good.
The spin offs range from mediocre to downright bad sadly.
I'd only get the spin offs if you absolutely love the series after playing through the main trilogy.

Like emotion_engine said the games can be a bit grindy but I find that's part of their charm.
The battles can be pretty quick and it makes grinding fun. The actual battles are pretty simple.
The gameplay really boils down to making sure you're properly equipped and using your buffs / debuffs in battle. It's a series where aesthetic and character can really make or break it for you.

If you have to go with just one game play Rebirth 1 first. It's the best introduction to the series, introduces all the characters and has a fun charming plot.

Remember to give Nep Nep her pudding!

I'd actuallyencourage the original PS3 because it's uniq- oh, Vita. I suppose I'd say Rebirth 2, because 1 has mandatory grinding. No idea if it's secretly a good game, but grinding in a post-80s JRPG tends to be a hallmark of a bad game.

Unfortunately no PS3 here, so I asked for games for the consoles I own in which you can find those games ^_^ They're on pc too, but my pc is not powerful enough to handle them.

The Ideal way to play Neptunia:
MK2 (PS3)> Victory (PS3)>Victory II (PS4)

Spin off games:
All of them are fun and should be played which ever order, but going by release if the best course

Games you should avoid:
OG Neptunia game absolute the worse game ive ever played from GUST
Rebirth 1-3 removed content
Victory IIR removed 1 ending and added VR for some reason, that adds nothing
Neptunia Reverse <-- No seriously what the fuck was the point of this shit? Anniversary? Reboot? Give me a new game instead you hacks.
Super Neptunia RPG (PS4) removes content

For console choice its PS3, Vita for its spin-off games, PS4 for Victory and the rest of the spin-off games on PC since you can mod back all the content if there is any removed.

The ideal world is where we, videogame-lovers, own all the existing consoles :) But thank you, should I ever decide (or be able) to buy a ps3 or a ps4 or a gaming pc, I'll keep in mind those titles.

yeah if you want the absolute perfect way to play Neptunia is that list, but if you own a Vita. the OG rebirth games didnt remove content unlike its ports on Switch or Steam. So the best course for you is the Vita version of MK2 and Victory. Then all the spin-off games on the Vita.

If I recall correctly, VIIR also introduced 30fps lock for some reason, where the VII was 60fps "most of the time".
