Wanted to ask if anyone had any recommendations for them. I got a memory stick pro and I'm trying to play games I've never heard of, or maybe just put some essentials. Don't really care about the content as long as it's good lol.

Remember 11, Ever 17, Air and those ported via VNDS:
but its font is microscopic and almost unreadable, unless you connect the PSP to a TV via a component cable.

The PSP can run Renpy (although not sure to what great extent)
There's fan ports of VNs I believe as well, but if you want something specifically that was always on the PSP, Steins;Gate
It's one of if not the best VNs of all time
Also, friend of mine that's deep into VNs says Clannad is incredible and supposedly a masterpiece, that's also on the PSP
And finally, maybe not the best game but Daganronpa is on the PSP, if you like Ace Attorney this is kind of like a bit of a watered down version of it but it can still be enjoyable

This is a amazing visual novel, there is an anime version as well, super recommend it

This. The only downside is the character formatting in the text boxes.

A shout out to ToraDora, only because the anime was one of the greatest love stories ever told.

fate extra is the obvious "buy the console for this one game" type of vn. the psp is practically known as the otome console so if youre into those just choose whichever dudes interest you and go from there. though i do think bakudan handan was objectively alright it was a death game oriented story. trying to think of vns that are pretty much psp exclusives since anything else on there is just a port with highly compressed visual and audio quality (sometimes cutting content) so those are best just read on windows. aside from that theres anime tie ins like saki or drrr for example but its hard to think of any real good ones theres photo kano and time travelers but those are better on vita escpeially photo kano considering its only real appeal is the visual aspect

There seems to be a lot in Japanese but I know of the Lucky Star & Sound of the Sky visual novels, as well as the Air one too but that's about it.

PSP is pretty much a visual novel handheld system IMHO, shame that most of them are still in Japanese so I won't mention them.
Other people already said their pieces so I won't repeat them, all of those are pretty good especially Fate/EXTRA, Steins;Gate and Amagami.
I personally like what I see on the translated otome games as well like Storm Lover! Kai and Tokimeki Memorial: Girls' Side.
The recently two fantranslated Yarudora Portable games, Double Cast and Sampaguita are some of the best interactive movie VN on the system, you should check it out.

Planetarian: Chiisana Hoshi no Yume is on PSP and it has a full English translation so I recommend that one.
There's also one with an idea so crazy that you are never going to see it ever again, I am talking about Sweet Fuse, a game where you are Keiji Inafune (YES that Keiji Inafune) niece and you have to stop a terrorist attack in Keiji Inafune amusement park, the most crazy thing is that it got an official english release back on the day.

Divi dead is a jewel among Ported VN for PSP
