so at last i am finally employed again, and sometimes i've got some down time on the clock. i like to have something on speed dial to play between customers, so does anyone have any quick pick-up-n-play games you'd recommend? im trying to avoid more story based stuff like rpgs, since i tend to have a hard time picking up where i left off when im only playing for a few seconds at a time. also, you can recommend ps1 games that have eboots, im down for whatever! thanks :]

Coded Arms a sci-fi FPS with roguelike elements. It's not amazing because of how repetitive it is but it's not bad IMO and you can easily play it for a floor or two at a time. There's lots of better games on the PSP but none of the ones I like fit your time requirements.

PSP Mini game - Monsters (probably) stole my princess. You chase movie monsters upward by jumping on platforms and attacking them. It's fun, humorous, and only tales about an hour to beat so you can't miss much if you have to pause or shutoff.

The Metal Slug Complete game is honestly pretty good just to burn some time. You can probably beat each game in about 1-2 hours not counting X that is and they are all really good.

The Patapon trilogy is also a good way to kill a couple of minutes just leading your small army of deadly eyeball soldiers.
