just experienced the PS3 emulation for the first time on my i5 8GB laptop
really i didn't expect nothing, being under the recommended RPCS3 requirements (16GB + 8 cores CPU)

with my surprise, i see the few games i have tried are working, ok not greatly but at decent fps to be absolutely playable

surely i cannot play the titles that bang the hardware, but i'm impressed the level this emulator has reached, kudos

here tried Fifa 2010 South Africa, Everybody Golf and 3d Dot Game Heroes

Good to hear. I also have a i5 laptop with 16GB RAM. Maybe I should give PS3 emulation another try. I mostly play JRPGs and those tend to not be too intensive.

I tried PS3 emulation with Naughty Bear and Naughty Bear: Panic in Paradise.
Both ran surprisingly well- even PiP, which doesn't run well even on native hardware lmao. Emulation is only getting better and better. Sooner rather than later, Xbox One and PS4 will be on the table. If there's even a market for that by the time we can, and all the exclusives aren't ported to PC.

I played God of War III through emulation and it was a great experience. I don't upscale or add any extra effects to my games so I didn't experience any problems or graphical artifacts. Ran beautifully, crashed only once in the beginning. It's still shocking how well it ran tbh.

i'm of course new to the 'preparation' thing, never experienced on emulation, with a lot of work of the engine compiling and caching things before running the games;
the real time compiling also keep running during play too

sometime everything seems about to explode, and instead it just starts :p

Only game I’ve tried on RPCS3 is Ridge Racer 7 but it runs almost perfectly on my Steam Deck, though on occasion the screen freezes. I’ve tried fixing it or trying to prevent it from happening but it seemingly happens at random and I got no clue what causes it.

I have an i5 with 32gb RAM laptop and it's still pretty rough for me. Playable, but rough. Most of the games I've tried have had some minor technical issues; for whatever reason, Bayonetta's physics on her arm sleeves don't work correctly and they'll be rapidly bouncing around constantly like they're trying to take off from her body.

The PS3 version did have a technical issues though, it's better to play other version instead

RPCS3 is a marvel of emulation, it's a miracle it runs as well as it does with the cell processor being emulated, while i don't have a ton of games i care about from the ps3 that hasn't been ported, the fact i can run it on a r5 2600x and a rx 6700 is amazing, it's actually easier to run rpcs3 than pcsx2.

RPCS3 is simply the best. It can run Tales of Graces f at full speed. That's all you need.

But for real, like I've only come across maybe like a few games that don't work??? Those being just the Uncharted games. They did some unholy magic to make those work on the PS3 at the time and it's gonna take awhile before RPCS3 can run them without some $4500 computer.

Also Eternal Sonata is a bit crash happy, BUT THAT'S BEEN IT FOR ME! I've played so many games from start to finish on it with literally no issue.

I've been playing Shadow of the Colossus and Demon's Souls on RPCS3 actually, they run perfectly. pretty amazing how far emulation has come.
being able to play demons souls in the current year at 4k with friends playing online is something i never thought would happen
its such a timelessly perfect game to me and its been preserved perfectly
you can smell the love in the air

RPCS3 is great. I've played ICO HD edition in stereoscopic 3D with a VR headset and it was kinda awesome. You can even play it with red and cyan glasses with a new anaglyph shader that works better at keeping the colors than the old 3D movies. ICO and shadow of the colossus have lots of pastel and desaturated tones anyway, so anaglyph 3D works really well with those games.
honestly it makes me kind of sad demons souls works perfectly on it with functioning online and a 4k internal rendering resolution
theres no point in playing it on my ps3 anymore the ps3 is my only hd era console and it is getting less usedzors

If I understood correctly you can join The Archstones from a modded PS3. Despite Sony's best efforts, crossplay for Demon's Soul is possible. I've completed the game so I'm not active there anymore, but you should ask how to get stuff running here :
