just experienced the PS3 emulation for the first time on my i5 8GB laptop
really i didn't expect nothing, being under the recommended RPCS3 requirements (16GB + 8 cores CPU)

with my surprise, i see the few games i have tried are working, ok not greatly but at decent fps to be absolutely playable

surely i cannot play the titles that bang the hardware, but i'm impressed the level this emulator has reached, kudos

here tried Fifa 2010 South Africa, Everybody Golf and 3d Dot Game Heroes

You could run even some of those titles with a Raspberry Pi 5, RPCS3 team is doing such an insane work

Good to hear. I also have a i5 laptop with 16GB RAM. Maybe I should give PS3 emulation another try. I mostly play JRPGs and those tend to not be too intensive.

I tried PS3 emulation with Naughty Bear and Naughty Bear: Panic in Paradise.
Both ran surprisingly well- even PiP, which doesn't run well even on native hardware lmao. Emulation is only getting better and better. Sooner rather than later, Xbox One and PS4 will be on the table. If there's even a market for that by the time we can, and all the exclusives aren't ported to PC.

honestly it makes me kind of sad demons souls works perfectly on it with functioning online and a 4k internal rendering resolution
theres no point in playing it on my ps3 anymore the ps3 is my only hd era console and it is getting less usedzors

I played God of War III through emulation and it was a great experience. I don't upscale or add any extra effects to my games so I didn't experience any problems or graphical artifacts. Ran beautifully, crashed only once in the beginning. It's still shocking how well it ran tbh.

RPCS3 all the way, at least the framerate will always be stable unlike the real thing

i'm of course new to the 'preparation' thing, never experienced on emulation, with a lot of work of the engine compiling and caching things before running the games;
the real time compiling also keep running during play too

sometime everything seems about to explode, and instead it just starts :p

Only game I’ve tried on RPCS3 is Ridge Racer 7 but it runs almost perfectly on my Steam Deck, though on occasion the screen freezes. I’ve tried fixing it or trying to prevent it from happening but it seemingly happens at random and I got no clue what causes it.
