Like the title says I'm looking for someone that can help build a program to extract 3D models and animations from the original game files.

Can pay you for your time, there are some tools that have already been made that can be used as reference potentially tho I was thinking something that can run in Windows environment like thru Visual Studio as that's what the current tools use.

the avocado psx emulator lets you take 3d screenshots. it'll help with grabbing models but not animations.

Curious.

If i know what file(s) hold the models i can see if there's a archival system to the way it's stored. But i'm going to guess someone else already has the tools or knowledge for this. I'll check back in the event nothing crops up.

edit: Though looking at Linnaealyn's stuff (from additional damage's link) the mega link has a url in it pointing to the extracted 3D assets. It's 6.3Gb... not sure if that includes upscaled stuff. But still gives a place to start.

There is a software used to fish textures and models off of disc images that could work called psxprev, you can also use a older version of the Avocado emulator but i cant remember where exactly to find the specific version. also not that these 2 methods dont work for every game due to backface culling for the emulator or specialized file formats for psxprev.
