Breath of Fire IV might be the prettiest, but plot and gameplaywise III just blew it outta the water despite having simpler and much less features. Also the encounter & loading time fucking sucks which is a minus. The cast in IV are less interesting too but that's just personal preferences. Parasite Eve 1 had shit gameplay that makes almost all guns pretty fucking useless. Parasite Eve 2 had even shittier and not fitting tank controls, it's more a survival horror shooter ala RE with little RPG elements than actual proper RPG, much like most FromSoftware games. In no way they are great or even good games despite having their niches that understandable to be favorite for some, even coming from me who's a lover of the series including The 3rd Birthday. The rest are practically ho-hum acceptable except maybe Rhapsody, but it's more because the localization is kinda bad and the start of NISA ruining shit in the West much like Working Designs before them.
