Prisoner for PSX fan translation by Chapu

Does anyone happen to be playing this? I think I'm near the end of the game, and this puzzle is killing me... I'll probably solve it immediately after posting this, so I'm posting it.

The game is amazing, by the way. There are just as many things to hate as to love about it, and I can't tell if I'm enjoying myself or suffering, but still love it.

Hey, I'm so happy that you like the game! Yeah, the puzzles get absolutely brutal towards the end... There's a very good complete walkthrough here: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLr8DXMUYI-Fj5TdU2MS1CTYJiB8QB4Kz6

Hope you can finish it!

@Chapu - I didn't want to @ you directly. You already did so much work. Thank you so much. I never knew of this game, but it's a total gem under a thick shell of pain. I really appreciate being introduced to it.
Thank you for the link. It didn't have my answer! I must have just missed an item; I think I missed a few things. Floor 49, east-side switches? I've tried every combination of switch. ☠️ Item required? Omg, the hours I've spent!

Yeah, I know the one you mean! It's the floor with the 3x3 grid of rooms with the rotating bridges, right? Listen, you gotta be very methodical. Like each switch colour rotates the bridges in three rooms. I can't remember the order off the top of my head, but this is the specific full floor:

Don't give up, you're soo close to the end mate!

@Chapu you're making a game translation and helped someone while you're at it, awesome

I literally can't figure out spoiler tags.

Well, that's embarassing. I'll just post the non-spoilery-thoughts.
But thank you @Chapu for taking the time to translate this to english. It came out of nowhere for me, I went in completely blind, and it was a ride.
And I finished it! According to those videos, I missed a lot! I had that last floor solved with the sole exception of this slight spoiler material, but I have no shame. I'd never have solved it without the video. I conquered that floor otherwise. 😹

Thoughts on the game: I didn't, and don't, know anything about this game at all. I went in completely blind. I didn't even know it was an "action RPG". I was expecting an "adventure game" with bad art and a really unique dialogue system. It was something totally different, but also up my alley.

Floor 49 was awesome, way too complex by modern gaming standards, but still solvable. Just an excellent puzzle on top of great, minimalist action.

Messages like yours mean more to me than you could imagine. It's the kind of stuff that encourages me to keep doing it!

I'm so happy you enjoyed the game and that you were able to finish it. There's no shame in resorting to a walkthrough! Heck, for that last floor I had to watch that video too, haha. They are games, they're supposed to be fun, so enjoy them however you want.

I didn't know about the game befirehand either. I was just looking for another project to translate and keep on learning, read some very interesting comments about it and decided to give it a shot. I don't regret it, I think the story's superb. Is it a perfect game? By no means, but I think it should be better known.

Well, you'll be glad to know I'm currently working on another PS1 hidden gem, "Wonder Trek". No ETA yet, but hopefully it'll be done in a month or so if everything goes well.
