As a kid who owned a DS Lite and then upgraded directly to an original model 3DS, I didn’t know Flipnote in its prime. It’s possible I saw some floating around through YouTube reposts, but I would be a lier if I said I had experienced Flipnote. But Flipnote has survived. In fact, it’s possibly in a renaissance period right now. Just something about the raw, unashamedness of it all is very appealing. Miiverse may have been Nintendo trying to do the internet, but Flipnote was Nintendo SUCCEEDING at doing the internet. People did, are, and probably forever will be making shockingly good animations using a Nintendo DSi and a free application, so I wanted to honor some of the community’s work, past and present, in a thread covering it all.

Post whatever Flipnotes you want. Even your own, if you choose to make any. It would be cool to have a little record of Flipnote to be kept here on the forum.

oh FUCK yea this is the exact type of post i needed (im sick rn and i feel like dookie). I love flipnote so much. Its what inspired me to get into animation and try and get better at drawing
I dont have any current ones really but i did make this like 3 years ago.

I’m also stuck at home, sick. Had to not go to work today and I might get in trouble without a doctor’s notice despite me being literally over an hour away from my doctor. So, yeah, sick gang and Tamagotchi gang! That’s literally what my entire profile is about: Tamagotchi and Vib Ribbon, so yeh

Also nice video I gave it a star :3

For the sake of the thread’s health, since I haven’t seen many people come through to post today, I wanted to share both a classic and a time capsule.
First up is the classic.

And the second is a Flipnote so quintessentially 2009-2012 that it has wounded me. The artstyle is still kind of a banger though, I’m ashamed to admit, because of how expressive the characters are.
