Oh my god! My story is similar, I bought pokemon snap when I was on holiday in France, when I got home I realised it was all in French, kinda obvious now but I hadn't considered that.

Me and my friends played through the entire game together and it was hilarious hearing the weird names of the pokemon and the speech. Sound memories have stuck with me for life! Oak saying 'Tous evoila', or something, and Doduo screaming 'Doki oh, doki doki oh!".

Its so great finding someone else who had a similar experience!

Edit; I know this isn't pokemon snap, but im excited to find someone with a similar story.

Funny to read "and the weird names" about French's names as a french. Those are their names ! I can't when I hear "Squirtle" lol, i mean, it's "Carapuce" ! Ahah

Jokes aside, later, i learnt their Original names. The Japanese ones. But Im still stuck with the French ones héhé.

i remember playing this game with my cousin, who unintentionally, got the Spanish version unknowingly. and my god we were howling with laughter when hearing the announcer yell out moves like Mega Punch and Mega Kick. god this game was great when you could use your own pokemon in it

One of the best Pokémon Spin-offs because in this one it focuses more on direct combat with the most iconic Pokemon of Generation 1 either in exhibition or championship mode and also has Minigames that can be played up to 4 players that are very varied and also the possibility of transferring your Pokémon and their stats through the GB Tower but you need the Transfer Pak and the Pokémon Red or Blue Copy to transfer it to the game. but as a spin-off it's fine.
