For a Romhack that is still in development or pause, this Romhack still looks very good, especially that it includes more features and quality of life as described in the description and also this Romhack, although more versions are needed to be complete, has potential at least.

It says Alpha in the filename, but there's nothing in the description that denotes that it's an alpha build. Is this a finished product?

It says alpha but it can be played all the way through. As this is version 8.2 or whatever you can see it gets updated ever so often. This is by far the greatest gameplay tweak pokemon romhack I've ever seen. I say "gameplay tweak" since some of the best romhacks are the ones that create whole new games like Pokemon Unbound and Pokemon Prism (that's the best gbc pokehack imo) But as for one that takes an existing story (in this case Emerald) and heavily modifies the gameplay features nothing else rivals this hack. There might be some fixes needed for it to work better on real hardware with flashcarts and repro carts, but surely future updates will address those issues. Currently this hack is the only true way to experience real co-op play pokemon between players where you can assist each other in double battles and visit each other's games and walk around together catching pokemon and even battle each other on demand and trade. Not even the mmo game PokeMMO has that level of multiplayer co-op in it. This is possible using an emulator with link cable features like current builds of mGBA. I had to use Parsec in order to play online with a friend, but there's probably a netplay solution to that like in RetroArch or something. Either way being able to experience true co-op Pokemon is a hell of an amazing experience, and I highly recommend it to any Pokemon nuts out there like me

Uh, it tells me the battery has run dry on my GBA SP even though RTC works on any other game I boot on my everdrive. Is this a thing for this romhack or...?
