I would absolutely love to play PokeMMO on my vita since it's way more enjoyable to play it with buttons instead of my phones touchscreen and I read that it is possible to port android games to the Vita. May the android version of Pokemmo work on the vita?

"I've seen it done if you use Moonlight, a plug in that allows you to mirror your steam account onto your ps Vita (similar to ps4 remote play) but you have to have a fairly beefy PC setup for it to function properly"

This is the only information I could find on it not having a vita myself.

The popular method of porting Android games to Vita won't work here.

PokeMMO uses both Unity and Kotlin/Java.
Only certain early versions of Unity work on Vita so that would need to be backported.
Vita also doesn't support Java so that would have to be converted to C++ or something.

Porting would have to be done by the devs since they have the source code and even then I don't know if it would be possible. If it is though, I doubt they would spend time and effort porting it to a dead system.

You're better off getting a modern portable retro console like the ones Anbernic does (currently rocking my RG35XX SP), since those have PortMaster compatibility and there's a PokeMMO port there.

These things all run either a heavily-shaved down Linux or Android outright, so it'll run natively with no issue.

Then connect a gamepad to your phone?

Either a small retro console which can run it like retroid or those controllers but I doubt I can carry those things in my pocket

And I absolutely wouldn‘t call the Vita a dead system since I know so many people personally who still have it and would use it if it got new games since the size and feeling is unmatched until today imo
