Point-and-Click Adventure Games

I think most of the ones I know have already been mentioned but I would also recommend the stuff from Telltale, especially The Wolf Among Us and The Walking Dead

Also some visual novels have some point&click mechanics but they might be minor so I don't know if I should mention them, but for example some of the stuff from Spike Chunsoft is great so I recommend trying them anyway.. Danganronpa, Zero Escape, AI: The Somnium Files etc are some examples.

I never thought about it but visual novels and point&click have a lot in common don't they? with p&c requiring more interactivity I guess.

I mean, gotta mension Wadjet Eye Games, Gemini Rue and Primordia are my favorite.

Well, there was this strange internet page called Inka-Games, it was a peruvian website that hosted indie point and click games like "Obama Escape de Wantamano" or "Bart Saw Game" I loved those silly games when I was younger, sadly the page passed away alongside Adove Flash Player.

I ended up installing King’s Quest 6 after I made this thread and played it all day.
Man, what a chill game. The setting is so romantic as campy and whimsical.
I hope I manage to finish it, but I had to take a break because I got stumped and had a million items in my bag.
I think I got a fair way in though.

the objectively best one in this thread is the longest journey the writing and dialogue is just top notch its novel quality. but thats a fact scribbled on the every toilet stalls corner
so for something different theres tonnou which is one that has to do with the sense of self. you explore inside a giant head constantly getting reincarnated

and then theres faust which is another game about souls. though its less abstract than tonnou it still has a lot of unconventional storytelling. theres kind of a lot so you need the patience to really stick through it a bit to piece it together or it just seems like random nonsense at first. think of it like your character is minos from dantes inferno placing your judgement on various tortured souls who enter the themes mostly revolve around the human condition

Would mess around in “Amazing Adventures Around the World” on my mom’s steam account when I was rather small. Barely got into it but it’s definitely. stuck in my head. Maybe I’ll try beating it one day

Both of these are great. Faust definitely deserves more mentions, its easily one of the most underrated point & click games of all time. Love the unconventional narrative style and the influences from classics.

Truly loving it
Something about it...View attachment 19811
Even as a point & click fan I had never heard of this one, looks cool!

Harvester is insane. I’ve only played the very beginning long ago, but watched a playthrough of it. I really need to play the entire thing myself.

Full Throttle is a pretty good one. Story about a biker guy, and it even has some pseudo-Road Rash sections peppered into the point and clicky story. I think it came out in 1995. There was either a sequel or a remake probably 10 years ago, but I never tried that one.
+1 Full Throttle.

I started watching the Broken Age documentary, Double Fine Adventure, and got the urge to play the game.

What the hell? the first part is fine, but the second part is annoying because the solutions feel like random nonsense. I am just doing random things to try and progress.

Played this on Dos Box back in 2009. It has it's fair share of jank, but I find the in game art charming. I've played through this one twice, and even played the Lovecraft Museum dlc.
