Hey everyone,
just got my girlfriend into emulating games, and knowing her, she'd appreciate something with a well-written and intriguing story. Got any recommendations? The only story-heavy DS game I've played myself was KH 358/2 Days, and I'd like some more options. Thanks in advance!

If you don't mind VN then 999 is a good answer
Luminous arc 3 is a funny one
You can also play devil survivor but you really should play this on 3ds

Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey, Radiant Historia, Kingdom Hearts ReCoded, Etrian Odyssey III, Ace Attorney 1-3, Ghost Trick, Pokemon Black & White (and the sequels, playing both is required), all Castlevania games, Chrono Trigger DS, both Dementium games, Dragon Quest 4, 5 and 9 (maybe 6 but many hated that game), Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon, Mega Man Star Force trilogy (idk which versions, have her decide), Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky, all 4 Professor Layton games on DS, 999, Hotel Dusk (emulator may treat it like a VN and put it in book mode, so keep that in mind), Solatarobo, Scurge: Hive, Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume, Knights in the Nightmare (prepare for tutorial hell though), The World Ends With You, all Mario & Luigi games, Final Fantasy 4 DS, Final Fantasy Tactics A2

The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks and The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass.

Ghost Trick, 999, TWEWY, all 6 of the Ace Attorney games, there's also a ton on rpgs on the ds to try out. She can also try a lot of 3ds enhanced versions of ds games.

Hotel Dusk: Room 215 and Radiant Historia, Hotel Dusk is an noir film in your hands you need to solve and Radiant Historia is time traveling RPG with a lot of side tracking that matters, plenty of reading on your hands and both command attention as soon as you play them.
I second 999, just remember to get pen and paper.

Solatorobo: Red the Hunter might be appealing, although like most Little Tail Bronx games it has some warmup time before things get really crazy with the plot.
