You should try its OST, Sega Genesis have its own musical style!!!! When you say "banger" you bet most of Sega Genesis games have banger OST yo.

As for racing game banger OSTs, the best racing game OST is the engine-beat of your car!!! lolol

Seriously though I mostly turn off music shit (let me hear my engine, dog) in racing games unless it is eurobeat yet I rarely heard racing games having decent OST go with "racing feel". I even heard romantical slow music playing in racing game (dude you are a professional retard lolol). That's why I have to bother with file converters, tools for consoles and script shit to mod eurobeat into my favourite racing games lol. My brain is only ok for modding them for some PS2 games but I would like to do the shit for other platforms too. Can't imagine Top Gear 2 playing eurobeat on Sega Genesis lolol.

Tokyo Xtreme Racer: Drift 2 has its moments but it's overall weaker on average
There's still Tokyo Xtreme Racer / Kaido Battle and Kaido Battle 2, neither of which I personally played but going by the series' record, both should have solid soundtracks.
Wangan Midnight had a not that bad soundtrack, although I'd say it wasn't near as good as the anime one.
