"Play pretend" or roleplay in videogames

Years ago I've played some Dungeon and Dragon online in a RP guild. And I've tried to roleplay in Elite Dangerous. I dont play MMOs or online games nowadays but their lack of actual gameplay or content were compensated by roleplaying with other people.

I’m so upset mostly cause I wanted to get into FF14 rp when I played but it’s all just gooners but ey that campaign is fire can’t wait to sub again

I think it's a constant in any MMO. XD
