Anyone play this ROMhack update in Planet Base yet? Holy crap how haven't I heard of this one before? Exceptional sprites working within the framework of the og game design regarding locales. Flora and fauna added in believable ways related to specific areas and biomes. Many things added and nothing of value lost. This is peak. Can't believe the attention to environmental detail added to the art, game design and play controls as well. It's super Metroid as we know but it feels larger, more atmospheric, more mysterious. There are more layers to pull back and now it actually feels like Nature took this world back for itself. I'm left pondering each area and how environments changed over time once the chozo died off. This is one I am going to be playing for a long time!
