Just an idea I got after laughing on CDRom comments where some people mention the Polystation, Gamestation 5 and other weird "fake" stuff.
This should probably go into "suggestions" (move if needed, staff!) but wanted to first make a quick check on what people think.
Its about adding a section (maybe 2) to post and make an archive of those "fake" consoles.
I say maybe 2 sections because I would make a distinction between 2 kind of them:
-Unlicensed "fake" versions of branded consoles, also known as "clones", pretty common back then for the 8 and 16 bits ones, like the NASA
-Consoles that just were (and are) their own thing, mostly with pre-loaded. Ofc they use games from other consoles, but they are not clones and are not compatible with cartridges or disck of brand consoles (not clones)
I bet there are lot of fun and crazy stuff aroudn there, and seems an interesting and "goofy" thing to get into, even trying to investigate when and where they originated and some historical background about all that stuff.
Thoughts?
