persona 2 just not working on ppsspp

sobbing rn been dying to play persona 2 could only emulate now when I launch it, it works well till the end of the first dialog boxs when it just freezes and doesnt work when the main charater should awaken to his persona i think :(

Are you emulating on a phone or PC? Also you might need to uncheck something in the PPSSPP settings. I think its maybe to do if you’re using Vulkan/OpenGL? I haven’t emulated anything in a while but it might be that.

Hmm, the only thing the console log tells us is that you didn't do a data install from the menu which is irrelevant all thing considered. I dunno much about the game itself but I played it for about an hour and a half and it worked fine so it seems like it's something on your end.

Seeing as you mention dialog boxes being a problem maybe you didn't download the proper fonts? PPSSPP has its own fonts but they're not 100% compatible with all PSP games. The reason for this is that Sony still holds copyright over PSP fonts so the PPSSPP crew can't legally ship the originals with the emulator.
