The name of the in-game company dataDyne was inspired by Yoyodyne from the 1965 novella The Crying of Lot 49 by Thomas Pynchon. Truly a masterpiece for me and believe me when i say the number of fans are maybe fewer in comparison on other N64 titles but the Perfect Dark fans are more die hard even knowing small details that most people and popular gaming sites don't know.
