They had to give Virtua Fighter 2 high scores, the series was a social phenomenon in Japan by that point. Soul Calibur is Namco, pretty much Sega's number one rival in the arcades in the 3D era, but I'm assuming you mean the Dreamcast version? Also, "30 would be subpar, let alone 27" can reasonably be taken to infer that it's a bad score. In the end, I just don't like the angle of "dunking on games everyone says are bad", especially when there's more to them, and few people have played them in the first place. Most people in this thread who swear it's complete trash have never played it for one second, let alone given it a fair shake.
