Payphone

Why not try to Install your own Pay Phone? Going back to using some Older Stuff for Fun or Community Fun, maybe?... This is the Topic. There are plenty of videos on Youtube and Other Places that may go over how to install them. If you have a Business then could be for that. Could be at a place for Fun for the Community. Or something else as a whole... Maybe you all may have Stories about the Payphone, and can give more Insight.

I deeply miss those and I firmly believe that getting rid of them was a collosal mistake.

Everyone has cellphones now? Uh, no. First of all, that's BS, and I don't like that we are operating on that assumption. And then, you know what's the number one object you get robbed for? Your cellphone! It'd be really nice to have a payphone to use on those circumstances!

A few businesses near me still have very old ones inside their businesses from years past. I do like to see the ones or remnants of them from my youth, but in my career I am so glad that they are behind us now because getting quarters can be a difficult task and carrying cash is even worse with the crime some places. It does suck that I can be called while trying to sleep, but at least I can mute my cellular.

It is correct that not all have Handheld Phones. As for the Payphone. It doesn't have to be Quarters or Dollars as check-ins for it. It can be other things. Just think of what Convenience folk can come up with for it to be more Easy and Convenient. Maybe y'all and others on here, can help put the Payphone thing into Practice. Inspire others.

In my region it only ever evolved to take change in the form of USD. I will say that public laundry, arcade machines, and vending machines have all evolved to the point of taking either credit/debit cards, reloadable cards, mobile app wireless operation which is nice and could likely be connected to a payphone, but the ones that I like to see have nearly all vanished. In fact I see more very very old ones than I do the more modern ones they are nearly all gone.

I travel almost my entire country I have seen them around its just crazy they used to be everywhere and now none. Verizon had some coin operated more modern ones, but they have since recollected nearly all of them.
