LOOK LOOK!
Remember going with my grandfather and cousin to K-Mart and finding this in the Video Game section. I already kind of loved Pac-Man and being a kid with limited internet usage (it was the late 90s after all), I was unaware of such a sequel (though tbf, there's so many Pac-Man spin-offs that could be considered true sequels that New Adventures just seems odd to be christened a true sequel). Then I brought it home and played it and I'm grasping for a word that exceeds "frustrating" (maybe baffling?), but yeah, it was not a pleasant experience and I've since christened it an "adult toddler simulator"

What are your personal experiences with the game?

It's a bizzare Pac-Man game. I remember playing it and I have no idea what I was doing since it was a point & click game. It's an alright game, but it doesn't deserve the number 2 since it's not even a sequel to the original arcade franchise. But for some odd reason, it has small cult following. Also, that US commercial is a bit...problematic?

It's not terrible (even feels unique in some respects), but it feels like a Pac-man title "in name only" (much like the 90s Super Mario Bros. movie)

I love this game. The graphics are a joy and all the mood swings Pac Man goes through are freaking hilarious.

It's a really great game to get young kids into point-and-click style adventure games and has some genuinely cool gimmicks that I feel don't get revisited in the genre much.

I'd love to see a "spiritual successor" with a unique universe but similar mechanics at play.

It's certainly not lacking in style, I'll give it that much. It's just frustrating to play with a D-Pad. I've heard that you apparently can use the mouse with the SNES version that makes it a bit more easier to play?

I'm also a fan of Pacman in this game. He's such a hilarious goofball. I kind of wish his personality carried over to any of the future Pacman games. It's also kind of interesting to see the larger society that Pacman lives in. It kind of reminds me of Sonic Adventure 1. Just imagine them doing anything like that in the Pacman World games.

It reminded me of the Hanna Barbera cartoon which Pac-Land was based on that I kinda liked. I bought it on impulse thinking it might be like that. And it was. Even the Ghost Witch of Netor looked similar to Mezmaron from the cartoon.

Unfortunately, I found it too short and not very replayable once you figure out all the tricks and secrets.
