Whether you are playing a game or watching a movie or an anime, there is a point when you reach a climax, and it hits you with that HOLY Music out of nowhere, and I'm not ashamed of admitting this but some of these OSTs are soo good i ltrly play them at the gym, wanted to share some of them with you and I want you to share your favorite IDK "hype" ost ? From your favorite show/game

1. Noratan (Noragami)

Noratan played very early in the Anime and I think it was one of the few things that sold me to watching Noragami and actually liking it, the show knew its own vibe and you can see clearly it was made with love at the time ive searched what genre on music this ost soppused to be, and apparently it's called Electric doujin I've heard similar osts before but never knew what the genre was called so its kinda cool and I hope a lot of studios adapt this form and evolve it
fun fact the same people who made Persona 3 osts are behind this OST no wonder this shit slaps

2. Le chant de Roma (Akami ga kill)

this one is a wierd case for me, i freking love it of course but everything from the composer and lyrics are a huge mystrey to me but I still love it, it starts slow and grainy, but it pulls you with every second, and then you reach the second phase of the song, and you hear the Zaghareet (type of ululation) and my god do i wanna fight every soulsborne boss listening to it, its Peak ost and if you've never heard of it please give it a listen

3. Main Theme (Super Smash Bros: Brawl)

I don't even need to say nothing, i just wish the Ultimate OST was based on the teaser Choir more, and maybe it will be on bar with this masterpiece

4. Speed Star (Yakuza 4)

Yakuza 4 was my first game in the series and I still remember hearing this ost for the first time and I can't describe my reaction at the time, I loved it so much that I recorded it on my mp3 player from my TV speaker and played it 24/7

Share some of your favorites and talk about them a lil bit, I didn't wanna make a whole list to give people a chance

Final Fantasy Music in general, but a game that has a soundtrack that is just way too good for it is definitely Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest (Mystic Quest Legend for you Europeans, or Final Fantasy USA in Nihon). Standout Tracks include all of the Battle music, especially the Dark King's theme.

I just woke up but if we’re talking like osts in ALL media I’ll need a few minutes to think
Hmmmmm

Reverse situation

Fanged is a great Akiyama track. Yakuza 4 is really excellent OST-wise. It’s also my favorite Yakuza.

There’s a part in metropolis that gets me Uber hyped every time

Has a rocking remix too

This is a good beat in general

Yeah, I replayed 4 more times than I could count. Did all substories too. They actually add a lot of lore to the characters (like what happened with Tanimura’s dad)

Ill give it a listen + ill admit I never played this game, so this is a sign for me to put it on the list

Yup, that's why Tani-chan is my fav, I actually recommend people to start yakuza with 4 instead of 0 because how the story is well put out

Could not agree more. It’s a masterpiece in storytelling.

While I wouldn't go that far, It is a neat little fusion of Final Fantasy like JRPGs with Zelda style field manipulation puzzles. Hampered by having a Stage Select instead of an open world map, and because it's a baby game.... for babies. The Story and the Soundtrack are definitely the best things about it.

I genuinely have no idea what you’re talking about- oh I think you got things completely confused. My reply was about Yakuza 4, not final fantasy mystic quest. Really sorry for the confusion!

brotha talk about them a little pleaaase (I'm jamming to them while waiting for your response)

okey

1. More Stronger:
There was a brief period of time where I was looking for fighting games to play with my cousins, and found was trying out lots of them, when I got to EX2, I was shocked the OST was this good, so I downloaded it, and noticed this theme slaps, so been keeping it in my personal playlist.

2. Risky Ride:
There was a this job I absolutely hated, so, to relief stress I would read something, listen to music or play some games during breaks. Until then I had never tried OutRun 2, I was very familiar with the original OutRun, but not this one, so I tried the PSP port on my phone emulating it through PPSSPP, and you know how OutRun games let you pick a song before starting your run, so I was going trough the originals their arranged remixes, but then notcied this one and went "oh hey i dont know this one lets see..." and turned into John OutRun himself.

3. Devil's call in your heart:
Oh boy, I remember playing F-Zero X ever since I was a kid on the N64, and always thought the soundtrack was cool, but as a kid never actually appreciated the soundtrack for what it is, METAL AF. Years later after I actually became interested in music (casually) was it that I stopped and think about how sick this OST is, and this song in particular is the most aggressive to me.

4. Juri's Theme from Galaxy Fight:
Same as Street Fighter EX2, execpt that in this case this is the only song in the OST thats like this, the other ones are like background ambiance or completely different genres to fit their respective character, so that makes this one stand out the most and its also fitting for Juri, who's this futuristic mega chick that kicks ass.

5. Quake II ETF:
HUH HUH HUH HUH HUH HUH HUH HUH
TRESSPASSER
AUUGH
*gun sound effects etc*
What can I say about this one, its just the my favorite out if the legendary QUAKE II OST.
Wait I know what to say about this one. I used to play this one in my highschool's computer lab with lots of friends on LAN, good times.

Super Buu theme. From Buu's fury
Boss Battle from FF 6-7-8-9.
Some New Fun - AKIBA'S TRIP.
Sky Sanctuary - Sonic 3 & Knuckles.
Anything But Tangerines from Earth Worm Jim 2.

Quite a lot of them.
