I purchased 5 non-working OG XBox One's for just a total of $35+tax.

Each had been "diagnosed" with specific problems I listed below.

Each have cosmetic issues... stickers, scratches, stuff spilled on them, etc. I cleaned #1 and it looks good except for scratches that can be covered by vinyl wrap.

Took all apart and throughly cleaned... 4 out of 5 now working nornally.

#1... Turns On and immediately Off... Tried everything I've read on the forums and seen on YouTube except changing the HDD or Factory Reset cuz it shuts off a few seconds after I turn it on. During one power cycle I did, Sims 4 popped out... Bonus... Free Game!!! - Need advice on this one.

#2... "Bad" HDMI... Factory Reset and then reinstalled OS - working normally

#3... Won't take update... Factory Reset and then reinstalled OS - works normally

#4... Won't accept discs... takes discs, but have to hit Eject first - Not going to try and fix this since hitting eject first is no big deal and the system works normally.

#5... Won't read disc... Factory Reset and reinstalled OS - works normally

Advice for system #1 would be greatly appreciated.

Cleaned up system #1 is in front and the lower 2 pics.

If you rapidly press the on button does it just "beep...beep...beep" ? Cause I have one that does that as well. I was assuming the power supply but I don't have another to test at the moment.

Brand new power brick. Still turns on and immediately shuts off.

The fan on top does not come on.

I figure it's either the cooling fan or HDD.

But it's a 1st Gen XBox One... the fan and/or HDD would probably cost more than it's worth.

try getting the fan to work. this was a problem i had with my wii u. the fan wasn't moving and the wii u gets insanely hot like an oven in just a few seconds, which forced an immediate shut down. i nudged the fan a bit to get it unstuck and it works perfectly now.
