If you told me that you got that massive brick of a system just to play Halo and Halo 2 and nothing else, I'd say that's extremely reasonable because that's just how good those games are. Though instead of exclusives I feel that the main selling point to me is that the original Xbox always had the best versions of any of the third-party games. It was the beefier of the systems in terms of power (with the PS2 being the weakest and GameCube somewhere in the middle) and if you're ever collecting stuff from that generation you should definitely get the Xbox versions. Xenia would be the Xbox 360 one and it has made some serious strides lately. It takes some work messing with settings and using patches, but a lot of stuff is playable now. There's also a recomp project done for Sonic Unleashed on the Xbox 360 that actually made it possible for recomp projects to be done for all Xbox 360 games??? If you're more interested in original Xbox game emulation then you'll be surprised to see that Xemu has been doing pretty well.
