Optimistic or Pessimistic about the Future of the World?

I switch between both. I mean it's such a shitshow at the moment that it'd make you feel pessimistic but it has been a shitshow so many times in the past and something seems to work out.
I think it probably will have to get worse before it gets better but I'm pretty sure it will get better, whether in our lifetime or not.
Just generally, not politically.
