One "simple" trick to tell if somebody is into fighting games or not

That means they play mostly anime fighters. I play a lot SF and tekken so I dont use numpad notation, I think most people would consider those fighting games lol.

I fucking, HATE numerical notation! Only borderline sociopaths think this is an acceptable way to present information to another flesh and blood human being! How much more time does it actually save to say a bunch of gobbledy-gook numbers than just saying/writing out "QCF-P"!??

Because, you can explain QCF + P as an acronym, it's only a nanometre of removal from the basic idea. It's just describing the motion of the control stick followed by the button you press for the special move. Everybody should know what the words "Quarter", "Circle", and "Forward" mean, just put them together and it should automatically paint the picture of what your trying to describe.

But if you type 236 + 12 or some shit, there's now several whole new layer of misunderstanding you have to break through tell someone what the fuck you're talking about. Especially considering Numerical notation doesn't follow ascending order (0 is not used, 1 is not down or neutral, like a starting point, it's down back, while 6 is fucking forward?!?). And now you have to program your brain to start registering directions as numbers, which is not a natural thing for a person to do. Maybe to a goddamn robot, this might seem perfectly sensible, but unless I'm boxing a fucking Terminator, I don't want to hear you speaking binary to me you fucking clanker.

And in the end, no game actually supports this idea in their movelists, and you still need to describe the more common nomenclature ANYWAY. SO WHY FUCKING BOTHER!?

If they can counter and delete my HP from 100% to 0% the next time I blink, I got myself some match. In other word, anti-air check.
