OGXBOX - Apex running extra good on CxbxReloaded

what a surprise!
tried as a last chance the racing game Apex (Racing Evoluzione USA version) on CxbxReloaded emulator, and it's running perfect on my i5 PC

perfect, with all the cpu cars on the tracks no lag/stuttering, no gfx or audio glitches;
great, i had this game in PAL back then and loved it, time for an NTSC replay :)

have you tried Xemu with files converted from .xiso to .iso?

a lot of ppl seem to be under the misconception that Xbox OG n Xbox 360 emulation is in some alpha-stage infancy but I play tons of both consoles' libraries of games on Xemu n Xenia respectively n am ofc wiLLing to help anyone who is not aware of this to get up n running

ps3 emulation is the only one I seem to have no luck with as I have RPCS3 n the firmware/bios n the software files to test or play n according to the tutoriaL I have everything required but STILL somethin goes wrong in the installation -_- n it's happened on both my current laptops with a few different versions/installations of RPCS3 over the years

have you tried Xemu with files converted from .xiso to .iso?

yes, on Xemu only the time races and one vs one races are 'ok' here;
with all the cpu cars, it's a stuttering festival

ah I see - the game is emulated better on CxbxReloaded than Xemu...

hm makes me wanna test out Apex n some others I haven't given a go yet n note if there's issues

the curious thing is that the game is reported as 'playable' in both emulators compatibility list, when in reality there is an abyss of difference (at least on my PC)

i noticed the Cxbx list is a lot more severe than the Xemu one, in future i'll surely consider also this emu for testing

I've never tried Xbox emulation to this day, but I heard it made a lot of progress in the past few years. People used to say that it would never be possible to do a Xbox emulator because of some technical reason and I guess this impression stayed.
